Seven terror suspects arrested from Lahore, Mardan

LAHORE/MARDAN: The law enforcement agencies have arrested seven terrorism suspects from Lahore and Mardan, ARY News reported on Monday.

The personnel of an intelligence agency captured two terror suspects, linked with an outlawed group, from a village near Thokar Niaz Baig in Lahore.

The counter-terrorism department (CTD) in another operation arrested three terrorism suspects affiliated with a banned group from Raiwind area.

A large quantity of explosives captured from the possession of the arrested suspects, who have been identified as Tariq Aziz, Abdul Ghaffar and Hamid Ali.

Special Police Unit (SPU) in collaboration with a federal intelligence agency arrested two terror suspects from Mardan.

According to SPU sources, the arrested suspects Qaisar Ali and Ahmed have been residents of Frontier Region Peshawar.

Two travel bags, two grenades and six kilogrammes of explosives were also captured from the possession of the arrested men.
