KARACHI: Paramilitary Rangers killed seven suspected terrorists in a raid in Karachi and captured bomb making material, ARY News reported on Monday.
The rangers on an intelligence tip-off conducted raid in Shah Latif Town. Armed men opened fire at Rangers personnel, which was resulted in a shootout.
Seven terror suspects were killed in the gun battle, while a rangers personnel also sustained injuries in the shootout, Rangers spokesman said in a statement.
The slain accused were members of an outlawed group. Automatic arms, large quantity of ammunition and other explosives captured from them, the spokesman further said.
The terrorists were planning a massive terrorist attack in the metropolis, he said.
In another encounter with terrorists two days ago 11 terrorists were killed and eight of them were identified and linked with banned terrorist groups.
