Speaking during the National Assembly session, Shah questioned the government about its preparations for the census.
He said country’s population in 1991 was 30.3 million which has now risen up to 200 million.
“We don’t want to politicize the census issue but government must lay down before the House its measures for conducting census,” said the senior Pakistan People’s Party leader.
He said Pakistan’s population has increased to alarming level.
