This news did come as a shocking surprise but was revealed by SRK himself during the trailer launch of Fan. When asked by a fan during the trailer launch as to how he reached Mumbai for the very first time to pursue a career in the Indian film industry, ‘King’ Khan revealed he had traveled to the metropolis via train and had even been slapped too!
“I came by train for the first time when I came to Mumbai. The train would turn into a local after entering Mumbai which I was not aware of. So I did not let a few people sit on my berth saying that it is mine, ‘I paid for it.’ I did offer it to a lady, though, saying, ‘you can sit but I won’t let the men with you sit on my berth’. And that lady slapped me real hard saying that ‘it isn’t yours, it is everybody’s,” he disclosed.
Of course that was then when Shah Rukh Khan was an unknown person and not India’s most bankable superstar, a status that he currently enjoys.
The trailer of Shah Rukh’s upcoming movie Fan has generated interest and excitement among fans. The movie’s plot is of a new kind and features Shah Rukh Khan in a double role, something which was extremely difficult to essay as per the actor’s own words. Fan features the story of a psychotic obsessive fan who loses it when his favourite star Aryan Khanna does not treat him well.
Fan is directed by Maneesh Sharma and the film is all set to be released on April 15.
