Shah says was taken into confidence over Uzair Baloch’s arrest

Addressing a ceremony at Sukkur Press Club, Shah said there are differences with the Center on Rangers special powers, adding that the Sindh government wanted it to be taken into confidence prior to the arrest of a senior political figure.

Commenting on law and order situation, he said the situation now is better than the past.

The chief minister said that the DG Rangers took him into confidence over the arrest of Uzair Baloch, adding, “Baloch is involved in serious crimes and investigations should be held against him”.

Suggesting the interior minister not to boast off sitting in Islamabad, he urged Chaudhry Nisar Ali Khan to visit Karachi as per the PM’s directives and hold talks with the provincial government.

Qaim Ali Shah, in his address, reminded that Peoples Party always kept journalists’ rights prior and the news men also backed pro-democracy forces in the country.

He announced Rs 5 million grant for Sukkur Press Club.

On the occasion, Information Advisor Maula Bux Chandio, Minister for Food Nasir Shah, Qayyum Soomro, MNA Nauman Islam Sheikh, MPAs Salim Bandhani and Deewan Chand Chawla were also accompanied the CM.
