Shahbaz orders fool-proof security for Chehlum

LAHORE: The Punjab government officials on Thursday discussed the security plan for the occasion of Imam Hussain’s (RA) chehlum, ARY News reported.

Chief Minister Punjab Shahbaz Sharif presided over a meeting in this regard today. He asked the officials concerned to ensure fool-proof security arrangements on the day of Chehlum.

At least twenty-four districts, including Lahore, Rawalpindi, Multan and Jhang have been declared sensitive.

Under the security plan, walkthrough gates will be placed on the routes of the chehlum processions. Undercover policemen will make video footage of the processions.

The SHOs of 712 police stations will ensure the security of the imambargahs and patrol the routes of the chehlum processions.
