His fling with Bollywood beauty Kareena Kapoor was well covered by the press and also received a lot of flak when a controversial private MMS leak made it onto the internet. However, since Kareena moved onto Saif Ali Khan and got hitched, maybe Shahid has also decided to make room for a female in his life. The actor who was also previously involved with Priyanka Chopra, has according to strong reports, been engaged since January to a Delhi college girl by the name of Mira Rajput.
According to the Bombay Times, the two lovebirds met through the Radha Soami Satsang, a religious group to which both of them belong. Not much has been pried or disclosed about Mira except for the fact that she happens to study at the respected institute of Lady Shri Ram College and is in her third year. Shahid’s father, actor Pankaj Kumar reportedly met Mira’s family at Chhatapur a few days back, at their home residence.
Shahid Kapoor has neither confirmed nor denied the rumors and has yet to break silence on the matter. The star actor is busy filming two projects these days, Udta Punjab with former girlfriend Kareena Kapoor and Alia Bhatt as well as Shandaar in which he again co-stars with Alia Bhatt. Shahid recently received lots of praise for his film Haider which was director Vishal Bhardwaj’s desi adaptation of Shakespeare’s renowned play Hamlet.
If there’s one thing you can’t say about rumors, it’s if they’re true or not! Whether Shahid plans to get hitched or not is entirely up to him but there’s no doubt more than a few females are bound to lose sleep over the news!
