Bollywood actress Kareena Kapoor recently spoke to an Indian newspaper and revealed that her ex-flame Shahid Kapoor had not invited her to his wedding with Mira Rajput.
It had earlier been stated that Shahid had invited his former girlfriend and her husband Saif Ali Khan to his wedding with Delhi-based girl Mira Rajput. However, Kareena denied those claims.
“I wish Shahid well, and I am sure Saif wishes him the same. It (marriage) is a great journey, and a great feeling. It is a moment of happiness for him; don’t turn it into a soap opera,” says Kareena, adding, “We should all understand that, and act a little restrained. I hope the media will do the same. It (Shahid’s wedding) is not a movie. We should just stick to the fact that I wish him nothing but happiness and joy in his married life.”
Earlier, Kareena had stated that Shahid Kapoor had informed her before the media, about getting married with Mira.
“We both performed at a recent event where he told me that he’s getting married, before he told the media. I’m very happy for him. And I can vouch for marriage being cool,” she said.
Kareena and Shahid Kapoor dated for three years before they broke up in 2006. Kareena Kapoor subsequently married Saif Ali Khan and Shahid also moved on. Both actors remain cordial and will also be seen in the upcoming movie Udta Punjab with Alia Bhatt as well.
