According to a leading Indian newspaper and sources close to the Bollywood heartthrob, Shahid will get married by July of this year to Mira Rajput.
“He has asked us to block dates between July 5 and 8 for his sangeet and wedding ceremonies. I think the nuptials will take place on July 8 unless I have got it wrong,” said a friend of the actor.
Shahid had also hinted recently that he planned on marrying soon but refrained from divulging into details regarding the girl he was about to marry. “No, I am not engaged but what you are reading is kind of true as marriage is on the cards at the end of the year. I’ll refrain from getting into details. I hope you respect that. I’m here today and I thought it was important for me to acknowledge it in front of the media. Other than that I’m just a normal guy, she’s just a normal girl and we should treat it like that. I’m very happy.”
Little is known about Mira Rajput, the girl Shahid is said to be marrying, except the fact that her family has been in acquaintance with Shahid’s and the two met through a religious gathering. Also, Mira is in her third year in college and is only a student.
