The court granted extension in interim bail to Mirza until May 30.

The PPP leader is still at the court for eight hours, citing security threats. The SHC also summoned the Sindh Home Secretary Mukhtar Soomro to submit his reply into the case.

Heavy contingent of police have been deployed on roads leading to the anti-terrorism court. Commandoes of Special Investigation Unit of police have taken guard outside the court, however Mirza refused to come out of court premises for security reasons.

He sought assurance from the provincial administration that he won’t be arrested once he leaves the court premises.
