Sher Ali accuses NAB officials of receiving several crores in bribe

MULTAN: Chaudhry Sher Ali, father of state minister Abid Sher Ali, on Saturday accused officials of the National Accountability Bureau (NAB) of receiving several crore rupees in bribe, ARY News reported.

Talking to media in Multan, Chaudhry Sher Ali said the anti-graft body is not a ‘holy cow’ accusing its officials of receiving bribes worth tens of millions rupees.

As rumors spread of a case against Chaudhry Sher Ali being taken up by NAB, State Minister for Water and Power, Abid Sher Ali also broke his silence saying the case against his father was registered in Musharraf’s reign and was ‘politically-motivated’.

Political circles in Punjab seem to be panicked after NAB initiated inquiries in the province, while a couple of days ago Opposition Leader in the National Assembly (NA) Khursheed Shah also made a sarcastic comment saying, “Politicians in Punjab are free of all sins; what has NAB gone there for?”
