Sindh Apex Committee decides to get all NGOs, seminaries re-registered

According to details, CM Sindh Qaim Ali Shah today presided the meeting of the apex committee which reviewed the progress of National Action Plan.

The meeting decided to maintain current policy pertaining to the issuance of arms licenses, getting all the non-government organizations (NGOs) registered by the federation and their complete record compiled by Nadra.

The apex committee resolved that no foreigner will be allowed to be employed in any security company, while a special security unit will be formed for Chinese engineers working in the province.

The committee lauded Sindh government’s efforts with regard to registration of seminaries and decided to make fool-proof security arrangements for the month of Muharram.

Officials also briefed the meeting about the arrest of the killer of senior journalist Aftab Alam.

Meanwhile, the apex committee directed concerned officials to restore security cameras installed on different thoroughfares.

It also resolved to further equip the Counter-Terrorism Department (CTD) and to provide all possible facilities to the personnel.
