Sindh Apex Committee meets to discuss law and order

KARACHI: A meeting of Sindh Apex Committee has been underway at Chief Minister House in Karachi on Wednesday, ARY News reported.

The meeting chaired by Chief Minister of Sindh Syed Murad Ali Shah, being attended by Governor of Sindh Dr Ishrat-ul-Ebad, Corps Commander Karachi Lt. General Naveed Mukhtar, Director General Rangers Maj. General Bilal Akbar and other top officials.

Sindh apex committee meeting is expected to discuss the law and order situation in Karachi and other parts of the province.

DG Rangers, Maj. General Bilal Akbar and IG Sindh Police, AD Khawaja, will brief the meeting on overall security situation in the province whereas Chief Secretary Sindh will give details about the establishment of Anti-Terrorism Courts and appointment of the prosecutors.

The committee will also discuss a piece of legislation approved by the provincial cabinet for registeratiion of the religious schools. The committee will also take decisions on formation of judicial enquiry teams and provision of special unit for the security of judges and installation of CCTV cameras.
