Sindh Assembly members discuss KWSB workers harassment

KARACHI: Members of Sindh Assembly discussed the harassment faced by workers of Karachi Water and Sewerage Board (KWSB) in the session on Monday, ARY News reports.

Nadir Magsi of Pakistan People’s Party (PPP) said that the Sindhi and Baloch employees of KWSB are being targeted and he requested the leadership of Muttahida Qaumi Movement (MQM) to take the matter seriously.

During the session, Sindh Information Minister Sharjeel Memon said that strict action will be taken against the elements involved in harassing the water board employees irrespective of their party’s affiliations.

MQM Sindh Assembly member Dr. Sagheer Ahmed said Shrajeel Memon has handed him a list of people involved in harassing KWSB employees and assured the house that action will be taken against them.

PPP MPA, elected from Lyari, Javed Nagori claimed that a National Assembly member is involved in the situation in Lyari and there are evidences against him.

Pakistan Muslim League – Functional (PML-F) parliamentarian Nusrat Sehar Abbasi presented a resolution against the harassment of KWSB workers.
