KARACHI: The budget of Sindh for the next fiscal year 2014-2015 will be announced in Sindh Assembly on Friday (today), ARY News reports.
The volume of the budget will be Rs. 650 billion whereas the budget deficit is likely to be Rs. 20 billion.
The salaries of government employees and pensions of retired officers are likely to be increased by 10 to 15 per cent whereas more than 15,000 new jobs are likely to be created.
The province is likely to be given Rs. 417 billion according to the National Finance Commission (NFC) Award whereas Rs. 215 billion is likely to be spent on development projects in the province.
An estimate of Rs. 135 billion is likely to be earned by the province in the next fiscal year.
Rs. 55 billion is estimated to be spent on the law and order situation in the province.
