MQM puts Sindh govt under cloud over workers' extra-judicial killings

KARACHI: Coordination Committee of Muttahida Qaumi Movement (MQM) has accused the Sindh government of extra-judicially killing workers of MQM, ARY News reports.

MQM Rabita Committee, in a press conference, claimed that Police killed their party worker Faraz Alam, over non-payment of bribes for his release.

Coordination Committee Incharge Qamar Mansoor said that Faraz Alam was tortured and false cases were filed against him.

MQM RC also said that the Sindh Government supports the police officers who kills MQM workers extra-judicially.

They demanded Prime Minister Nawaz Sharif, Army Chief General Raheel Sharif and Chief Justice of Pakistan Nasir-ul-Mulk to take notice of the extra-judicial killing of their workers.

MQM protests at CM House:

The MQM is staging a sit-in outside Chief Minister House in Karachi against the extra-judicial killing of their party activists since Saturday night.

They brought the bodies of their workers whom the party claims were killed in police custody.

MQM leaders including Haider Abbas Rizvi and Wasay Jalil weer also present at the sit-in.
