According to the report, 453 terrorists including those associated with Al-qaeda and Tehreek-e-Taliban Pakistan were arrested in encounters while 194 others were killed.
Similarly, 201 target killers were eliminated by the police and 95 arrested. The apprehension of criminal and dacoits stand top in the list with count of 11,687.
In its report, the provincial police boasted on declining graph of crimes in comparision with the previous year.
The number of murders this year is 2032, while the same stood at 3628 last year.
‘Acts of terrorism’ as defined in the report were just five in 2015 comparing to 22 in 2014.
The police claim that the outgoing year saw only one kidnapping for ransom incident – unlike 2014 when such incidents were 52 in count.
Number of extortion cases has also drastically come down with 247 such incidents against 521 last year.
Police also recovered 32 suicide jackets, 9,089 pistols, 380 SMGs, 964 shot guns/repeaters, 762 ball bombs/avan bombs, 688 hand grenades, 526 kgs of explosive material, 20 LMGs, 11 G-3 rifle and six IEDs.
