Sirajul Haq, who is currently on a visit to Balochistan, held a telephonic conversation with CM Pervez Khattak, during which he expressed his reservations on a statement issued by the PTI chairman earlier today.
When inquired about his stance on the issue, Siraj told ARY News that he is neither offended nor happy with Khan’s statement; however he has informed the CM KP about his reaction.
On the other hand, the JI information secretary clarified that Sirajul Haq had not issued any statement suggesting PTI and the ruling PMLN to be “two sides of the same coin”.
He added that the statement which was deliberately related to the JI emir was fabricated to create misunderstandings between the two allied parties.
Earlier, Imran Khan had said that Jamat e Islami and Sirajul Haq demand imposition of Islamic laws, but they are not ready to witness PTI fighting over basic principles of Islam.
Khan said his party is fighting against those, who plundered the electoral mandate of the people.
The PTI chairman in his statement had strongly criticized the JI emir.
“Sirajul Haq should stop trying to play on both sides of the wicket”, he advised, adding the JI chief failed to accept rigging of last general elections, which raises a question mark on his determination to act upon the Islamic principles.
He also said that the JI emir has forgotten that how many corruption cases are registered against PM Nawaz Sharif and Asif Ali Zardari, within the National Accountability Bureau (NAB).
Imran Khan expressed his sorrow for Sirajul Haq considered PTI similar to PMLN and PPP.
After the statement issued by Imran Khan, the JI chief had also advised his party officials and workers all over the country to hold back themselves from presenting any kind of reaction in this respect.
