Siraj demands Panama leaks commission under CJ

PESHAWAR: The emir of Jamaat e Islami (JI) Siraj ul Haq Saturday demanded the government to set up an inquiry commission under the Chief Justice (CJ) of Pakistan, Anwar Zaheer Jamali to probe Panama leaks, ARY News reported.

Addressing a minority convention organized by JI Khyber Pakhtunkhwa chapter here on Saturday, Siraj ul Haq rejected the commission announced by the prime minister led by a retired judge of the apex court.

He lamented that the rulers are trying to deceive the nation by forming a commission of their choice.

“What kind of justice is it that an accused is setting up an inquiry commission of his choice,” questioned the JI chief.

Siraj ul Haq remarked that how shameful it was to see a prime minister, whose finance chief keeps advising the masses to pay taxes, hiding his wealth by investing in offshore companies.
