Siraj slams rulers for ‘plundering’ national wealth

Siraj-ul-haq

KARACHI: Jamaat-e-Islami (JI) Emir Siraj-ul-Haq has said that federal government should make deceased social worker Abdul Sattar Edhi’s lifestyle a role model, ARY News reported.

JI Emir met Abdul Sattar Edhi’s son Faisal Edhi on Wednesday at Edhi Centre located at Karachi’s Meethdar area and condoled him over the death of his father.

Speaking to media on the occasion, Siraj-ul-Haq said that Edhi’s death proved that whoever is in the hearts of the people never .

“People do not trust state institutions because they are corrupt. There is no shortage of resources in the country. Unfair distribution of the resources is the biggest issue,” he added.

“Abdul Sattar Edhi spent the people’s money on the welfare of the people whereas rulers laundered the wealth outside Pakistan through corruption,” Haq added.

He added that a university should be created in the name of the social worker.
