Six cops amongst 14 wounded in Karachi blast  

KARACHI: Fourteen people including six police officers were injured in a remote controlled explosion at Frontier Colony area of Orangi Town in Karachi on Sunday, ARY News reports.

An explosion took place near an on-duty police mobile due to which six police officers, including checkpost incharge Waheed Awan, and eight others were injured.

Law enforcement agencies and rescue teams arrived at the scene and shifted the wounded to Qatar Hospital and Abbasi Shaheed Hospital for treatment.

SSP Orangi Town Sajid Sadozai said that the bomb was planted in a motorcycle.

Bomb Disposal Squad also collected evidences from the scene. BDS officials have said that the explosives were detonated via remote control.

BDS added that the large amounts of ball bearings were used in the explosives due to which several people were injured.
