According to reports, a contingent of police and intelligence agencies conducted raid at a hideout of terrorists in a village near Manawala area of Sheikhupura. The gunmen opened fire at the law enforces resulting a shootout between the two sides.
Six terror suspects killed in the exchange of fire, while two fled from the scene, security sources said.
The agencies conducted the raid after intelligence report about presence of terrorists in the area, sources further said.
Six dead bodies were transferred to hospital for postmortem.
According to police, two Klashnikovs, four pistols, 300 rounds and a large quantity of explosives found in possession of the terrorists.
