TOP NEWS

Left-arm seamer Kenroy Peters, 30-year-old leg-spinner Imran Khan, off-spinner Ashley Nurse, teenage fast bowler Marquino Mindley, and left-handed batsmen Evin Lewis and Jonathan Carter are the new names.

The squad also includes off-spinner Sunil Narine who was pulled from the ill-fated tour of India in October after being reported for a suspect bowling action during the Champions League Twenty20 series.

Key batsmen Chris Gayle and Darren Bravo are both included despite withdrawing from the Test squad to take on South Africa later this month.

However, there was no place for experienced right-arm fast bowler Ravi Rampaul who has played 90 one-day internationals and taken 115 wickets.

Two-time champions West Indies will play in Pool B at the February-March World Cup where they will face defending champions India, Ireland, Pakistan, South Africa, United Arab Emirates and Zimbabwe.

The squad will be cut to 15 by the deadline of January 7.
