Slash in funds draws opposition’s ire in NA

TOP NEWS

Opposition members protested against provision of Rs 20 million to them which fairly less than Rs 50 million released to the treasury members on account of development funds. They walked out of the House in protest against what they described as ‘discriminatory’ attitude of the government.

Opposition Leader Syed Khursheed Shah slammed unequal distribution of development funds among treasury and opposition members, and strongly denounced entirely stripping of women MNAs of these funds.

On the other hand, Minister for Water and Power Khawaja Asif also gave a red signal to Sindh government regarding the supply of electricity.

He said that Sindh government is due to pay Rs 66 billion to Wapda and advised it to pay the sum in order to avoid any disruption in power supply.
