Society cannot progress without education, says minister

ISLAMABAD: Federal Minister for Planning and Development Ahsan Iqbal has said that the society cannot progress without education, ARY News reported.

He was addressing a business education conference in Islamabad on Tuesday.

Iqbal said that the globalization has changed the whole world. A society could not attain its goals without education, he said.

He added that the country have to pay attention towards its education sector if it wants to gain economic stability.

The planning minister stated that that Prime Minister Nawaz Sharif had launched a programme of economic reforms in 1999.

The minister also said that the previous governments did not pay attention to the country’s productive requirements. He claimed that no previous government had managed to focus on the export sector till 2013.

The minister said that world is rapidly changing due to the advancements in technology.
