DUBAI: Sri Lanka defeated Pakistan by 9 wickets on the fifth day of the second test match here at the Dubai Cricket Stadium today, ARY News reports.
Earlier, Pakistan was back in the pavilion at the score of 359 runs setting a target of 137 runs for Sri Lanka to win.
Sri Lankan batsmen chased the target with ease. Both of the openers scored half centuries each. Dimuth Kunaratne was the highest scorer with his unbeaten knock of 62 runs.
Kaushal Silva made 58 runs for the team before being leg before to Pakistani spinner Saeed Ajmal.
Sri Lanka lead the three match test series 1-0. The third test will be played at Sharjah on 16th January.
