US President Barack Obama left everyone awestruck when he quoted Bollywood’s superstar Shah Rukh Khan’s famous line ‘Senorita, Bade bade deshon mai aisi choti choti baatein..’ from his blockbuster film Dilwale Dulhaniya Le Jayenge in his farewell speech at Siri fort auditorium in the Indian capital New Delhi.
Shah Rukh Khan who was also mused over President Obama mentioning his name, invited the most powerful man of the world to learn some dance steps on his song ‘Chaiyya Chaiyya’ from him. The 49-year-old actor said in his tweet “I am proud to be a part of the gender & religion equality speech of President Obama. Sad he couldn’t do the Bhangra…next time Chaiyya Chaiyya for sure”.
Obama on his final day speech in India knew the charisma of receiving the applauses from the audience he drew loud cheer from the audience when he uttered SRK’s famous dialogue from the movie.
While talking about diversity and religious unity in India the US President mentioned prominent Indian figures and sportsmen in his speech. He said, “India takes pride in people like Milkha Singh, Mary Kom, Shah Rukh Khan, Kailash Satyarthi. India will succeed so long as it is not splintered on religious lines.”
