Sources told that the blast took place near a girls school in densely-populated Ali Abad area of Hazara Town, where a large number of masses usually gather in the evening. As a consequence, three people were killed and more than twenty were injured.
ARY News Quetta bureau chief, Shahid Rind told that it was a suicide blast, while scores of masses were around when the explosion took place.
Meanwhile, rescue teams rushed to the spot and shifted the injured to the Combine Military Hospital (CMH) Quetta.
Police also cordoned-off the site of the blast and evidences are being collected from there. Officials confirmed the nature of the blast to be suicidal, while they also found ball-bearings from the site.
