According to SSP Malir Rao Anwar, Police carried out a raid at Sohrab Goth after which several suspects opened fire at them.
One of the suspects, identified as Khaliq alias Khalu, was killed in the exchange of fire whereas his two accomplices named Noor and Ghani managed to escape.
Police stated that seven of their partners-in-crime have already been killed in different encounters.
Rao Anwar claimed that the gang, comprising of more than 15 Afghanis, are wanted to the police for several robbery offences.
