Suspected ebola virus patient admitted at Karachi hospital

KARACHI: A passenger arrived from Nigeria has been admitted at the isolation ward in Karachi’s Jinnah Hospital over ebola virus infection fear, ARY News reported on Monday.

A passenger Mohammad Haroon 45, who had arrive from Nigeria, was found suffering from high fever. He was checked by doctors at Karachi airport and transferred to the isolation ward in Jinnah Hospital.

Dr. Seemi Jamali, the hospital’s spokesperson, has said that it could not be said the suspected patient has contracted the ebola virus or not.

After proper tests a final report about the condition of the patient will be released, Jamali said.

She said that no case of ebola virus has been reported in Sindh and other parts of the country so far.
