The Human Right Tulip Award is an annual award of the Dutch government for individuals or organisations that promote human rights worldwide in innovative ways.

The prize is intended to help human rights defenders to learn from each other. The winner can use the prize worth €100,000 to further develop or expand the scale of its work for human rights.

T2F was launched by Sabeen Mahmud at Karachi in 2007 and has gone on to host hundreds of events ranging from open debates on social issues to book and poetry readings.

It should be noted that Sabeen Mahmud was also shot dead by unknown terrorists on 24th April in Karachi.
