An important meeting to discuss implementation of TAPI Gas pipeline project was held in Islamabad today. It was attended by petroleum ministers of Turkmenistan, Afghanistan and India. Federal Minister for Petroleum and Natural Resources Shahid Khaqan Abbasi was also present.
During the meeting views were exchanged on Turkmenistan-Afghanistan-Pakistan and India gas pipeline project.
On the occasion, PM Nawaz talking to petroleum ministers said keeping in view the importance of project Pakistan wants early its implementation.
“Pakistan will play positive role for early progress on TAPI gas pipeline project”, he added.
Highlighting the importance of TAPI Project for Pakistan, PM Nawaz said the project will help Pakistan to overcome gas shortage. He urged to take all possible measures for early starting of the project as delay in this regard will add to its cost.
