According to police, the first incident took place at Iqbal Road in the afternoon when unknown assailants riding on motorbikes opened fire at a shop, subsequently killing a man.
Within three hours, armed men opened indiscriminate fire at the people sitting outside a clinic at Patel Road.
As a consequence, two men were killed and five were injured including two women.
In moments afterwards, another incident of target killing occurred when at Jinnah Road near Kabir Building when three people were injured due to firing by armed motorcyclists. The injured were immediately shifted to Civil Hospital and Combine Military Hospital (CMH) Quetta.
Police said that the ones targeted at Patel Road and Iqbal Road belonged to Hazara tribe.
The incidents which occurred within four hours spread panic across the provincial capital with shops and businesses closing down completely.
