According to ARY News, a police team including SSP Investigation Arab Mahar, DSP Azizabad Ijazuddin Shaikh, investigation officer Nisar Qureshi and other officials reahed Karachi University to investigate into the motive of the crime.
The police officials are expected to meet the Vice Chancellor, teachers and close friends of late Dr. Waheed-ur-Rehman.
Karachi police had earlier released a sketch of one of the killers of late professor Waheed-ur-Rehman. Information shared with the sketch states that the murderer was a 30-35 year old individual having a height of 5 feet 6 inch with a healthy built, black hair and dark complexion.
Autopsy of the slain professor revealed that he received one bullet each in his hand, forehead, neck, shoulder and abdomen.
Dr. Waheed-ur-Rehman who was also known as Yasir Rizvi was shot dead on Wednesday in Karachi’s Federal B Area while on his way from home to the university.
