Here are ten easy tips for taking better pictures with your cell phone:

Place your camera app on the main screen

Make sure you have your camera app on your home screen or easily accessed by one of the home screen buttons, so you can be ready when the need arises.

Use natural light

When you can, use natural light for your pictures in order to get the best results.

Angle your phone

Be creative in how you take photos. For example, for a more unique twist on photos of you and your friends, hold your phone at an angle.

Clean your lens

Make sure you regularly wipe off the camera lenses on the front and back of your phone.

Avoid zoom

Digital zoom on a phone camera is usually not the best; avoid using it if possible. Move yourself closer to your subject instead.

No centering

Photos that place the subject in the center of the picture can be boring. Imagine a tic-tac-toe board on your screen and place the focus of your photo along one of the lines.

Get high and low

Instead of just standing or sitting to take your photo, try getting down lower to the ground and shooting up or going up higher and shooting down.

Use flash – even in bright sunshine

Turn the flash on even when you are in the sun. The flash will help eliminate any shadows.

Download photo apps

There are dozens of apps for editing photos; download a few of them to find ways to enhance your photos.

Share!

Photos are always better when shared with others. With your smartphone you can instantly use your 3G or 4G  connection to share in real time with your friends and family.
