Terror bid in Quetta planned for Defence Day foiled

RAWALPINDI: Security agencies have foiled a terrorist attack bid in Quetta planned for the Defence Day, ARY News reported on Saturday.

The security agencies on intelligence reports carried out search operation against terrorists, ISPR said in a statement.

The agencies arrested a terrorist and recovered six kilograms of explosive material and mortar bomb during the operation, the statement said.

The alleged terrorist admitted his links with Indian spy agency Research and Analysis Wing (RAW).

The arrested men also confessed to carrying out two bomb attacks in Quetta in the past in which scores of persons were killed.
