Terror Threat: Shah Mehmood Qureshi advised to restrict activities

MULTAN: Pakistan Tehreek-i-Insaf (PTI) Vice Chairman Shah Mehmood Qureshi has been advised by the authorities to restrict his movement due to serious terror threat to his life, ARY News reported on Monday.

According to sources, the government has provided additional security to Qureshi- former foreign minister during the People’s Party’s tenure in the centre. He had joined PTI before Pakistan’s general elections in May 2013.

Shah Mehmood Qureshi and some other PTI leaders had also received terrorist threats from various outlawed groups in September this year.

PTI central leader Chaudhry Sarwar had written a letter to Chief Minister of Punjab Shahbaz Sharif seeking government security due to the threat.

A copy of the letter was also sent to the Ministry of Interior, Director General Inter-Services Intelligence (ISI) and Director General Intelligence Bureau (IB).
