Terrorists fleeing North Waziristan, says DGMO Amir Riaz

According to details, the Prime Minister, Nawaz Sharif presided the national security meeting, which was attended by the Army Chief General Raheel Sharif, DG ISI Lieutenant General Zaheer ul Islam, DGMO Major General Amir Riaz, chief ministers and the heads of parliamentary parties.

During the meeting, the DGMO briefed the attendees about the arrangements made for preventing possible reaction by the terrorists. It was said that the provision of funds to the militants has also been abandoned, while the forces have destroyed their command and control system.

Major General Amir Riaz said the terrorists are trying to flee away the region, due to the ongoing the Pak-Army offensive there.

The participants at the meeting praised the successes in the operation Zarb-e-Azb and urged the military leadership to root out militancy from the state.

The meeting also paid a tribute to the sacrifices and patriotism of tribal people, while they were also briefed about the facilities being provided to them.
