Terrorists won’t be allowed to escape, says COAS

According to details, COAS was invited as the chief guest in the closing ceremony of Shandur Polo Festival. He also saw the final match played between the teams of Chitral and Gilgit.

The army chief, addressing the closing ceremony, said that Operation Zarb-e-Azb has yielded positive results and the elements spreading terrorism will be chased in the country till the end.

COAS went on to say that Pakistan Army fully assisted flood victims. Lauding the organizers of the polo festival, the army chief said that the tournament will promote tourism which is welcoming for the country.

The army chief added that the backbone of terrorists has been destroyed and they will not be allowed to escape. He added that Pakistan Army soldiers rendered all kinds of sacrifices for the country.

Governments of Khyber Pakhtunkhwa and Gilgit Baltistan had collaborated after four years to organize the Shandur Polo Festival. Frontier Constabulary (FC) had provided security for the event.

Thousands of people, including foreigners, also take part in the festival.
