Terrorists wounded in Afghanistan arrested from Karachi hospital: IG Sindh

HYDERABAD: Inspector General Sindh Police Ghulam Hyder Jamali has said that several terrorists wounded in Afghanistan were arrested from a hospital in Karachi where they were being treated, ARY News reports.

Ghulam Hyder Jamali, speaking to media, after distributing cheques to the families of the slain policemen, said that strict action will be taken against the staff of the hospital.

He said that the investigation against the arrested persons is underway.

IG Sindh also said that terrorists affiliated with Al-Qaeda and different terrorist organizations along with agents of India’s Research and Analysis Wing (RAW) have also been arrested.

“We are not taking action against a specific political party. We are targeting the criminals”, he said.

Jamali added that the law and order situation was appalling when he had raken charge but the situation has improved after the targeted operations. He added that the number of terrorism incidents have also gone down whereas not a single extortion case has been reported in the past six months.
