The decision to this effect was taken at a high level meeting in Islamabad. The gas supply to industries will be suspended and transferred to domestic consumers. While textile industry will be provided 24-hour electricity as an alternative to gas suspension.
The measure is taken to prevent any halt in production cycle. Besides, 400 mega watts are also included in the quota for textile industry.
The gas load-shedding for textile industry will take place from November 15, 2014 to March 15, 2015.
