Third round of PTI-Govt talks today

ISLAMABAD: The third round of negotiations between Pakistan Tehreek-e-Insaf (PTI) and the federal government will be held here in Islamabad on Tuesday, ARY News reports.

PTI and federal government started the talks on Friday and the second meeting of the two parties was held on Sunday.

Members of the Government’s committee for talks Ahsan Iqbal and Ishaq Dar met with PTI leaders Asad Umar and Jahangir Tareen. The members from the two parties informed each other about their demands in the meeting on Sunday.

Federal Minister for Finance Ishaq Dar said that that the government wants to take the negotiations further whereas PTI leader Jahangir Tareen has said that the ongoing political crisis can only be resolved via negotiations.

It should be noted that PTI Chairman Imran Khan has said that he will call off his country-wide strike call on 18th December if the government for the judicial commission to probe the alleged rigging in the general elections of 2013.
