Police carried out search operations in different parts of Manghopir area of the city. Thirty-five suspects were taken into custody in raids in the area and shifted to undisclosed location for interrogation.
Large number of weapons, explosive material, ball bombs along with chemical and Awan bombs were recovered in raids.
Two other suspects were rounded up from the jurisdiction of Baldia Town Police Station. Weapons were seized from the arrested persons.
The arrested suspects are being investigated by the law enforcement agencies.
Meanwhile, two suspected street criminals identified as Sadiq and Gulzar were arrested from the jurisdiction of Preedy Police Station.
