According to Additional Inspector General of Sindh Traffic Police Khadim Hussain Bhatti, action will be taken against the drivers of private vehicles driving who dont keep a licence.

He paid a visit to the driving licence branches in Karachi’s Clifton, Korangi and Nazimabad areas to inspect working of officials in issuing license forms and managing subsequent procedure.

He listened to the complaints of the people who had come to the branches to get their driving licence issued. He also surveyed the facilities being provided to the people.

Meanwhile, traffic police authorities have clarified that Section 97 of the Provincial Motor Vehicles Ordinance 1965 fully authorised the traffic police personnel to initiate proceedings of up to six months of imprisonment or a fine up to Rs500 for people driving in public places without valid driving licenses.
