Three ‘negligent’ cops suspended in wake of ARY News attack
Unknown assailants had lobbed a hand grenade at the office of ARY News in Islamabad on January 13 and later fled the scene firing gunshots after they were confronted by the security guards at office entrance.
The Ministry of Interior today suspended concerned SP, DSP and SHO of capital police for demonstrating negligence.
It was said that suspended officials will be charge-sheeted following a departmental inquiry against them.
Islamic State Wilayah Khurasan – Daesh Afghanistan – had claimed responsibility of the attack that was strongly condemned not just from within but outside the country as well.
