Three suspects in Imran Farooq muder case sent on remand

ATC heard the proceeding in the murder case of former Muttahida Qaumi Movement (MQM) leader Dr. Imran Farooq. Strict security measures were taken during the hearing.

The lights of the judicial magistrate complex were turned off when the suspects were produced before the court.

The court, after listening to the arguments of FIA and the suspects, handed the suspects over to the investigation agency on 14-day remand.

On December 5,  the FIA had registered FIR against MQM leader Altaf Hussain and others from the party in Dr. Farooq murder case

MQM leaders Mohammad Anwar, Muazzim Ali, Kashif, Syed Mohsin Ali and Khalid Shameem were nominated in the FIR.

According to the text of the FIR, the conspiracy for the murder of MQM leader Dr Imran Farooq was hatched in Pakistan.

The case filed by the counter-terrorism section of the investigation agency has been registered under clause 7 of the anti-terrorism act (ATA).
