Timber market victims compensated, says Sharjeel

KARACHI: Sindh Information Minister Sherjeel Inam Memon said on Saturday that provincial government has fulfilled its promise  made to victims of Timber Market incident, ARY News reported.

Speaking to media in Karachi, Sherjeel Memon said that 90 victims of Timber Market incident has been paid cheque  of Rs. 1 lakh per person for everyday use.

“Victims will be able to receive aid once the report of data and estimation is compiled” , he added.

Admitting the shortage of fire brigade and snorkel in Karachi, the Minister said Chief Minister Syed Qaim Ali Shah has issued Rs. 300 billion for buying of fire tenders and  other equipments. He added that all the arrangements for buying have been completed but facing restrictions because of court’s stay order.
