Training camp of Pakistan to begin tomorrow

LAHORE: The five-day training camp of national cricket team for World Cup will begin in Lahore from tomorrow, ARY News reported.

Short training camp, scheduled to be commenced between January 13-17, will comprise of two sessions daily. In the first session, physical training of players will be carried out while net practice will be done in the second session.

National cricket team is due to depart for New Zealand on January 21 for the two-match ODI series against the Black Caps. Following to which team Pakistan will fly to Sydney for its warm-up games before moving on to Adelaide for its much-anticipated first World Cup 2015 encounter against India on February 15.

Fitness test of players have already been done prior starting training camp in Lahore.

Sources said that fitness test of captain Misbah-ul-Haq, Mohammad Hafeez and Shahid Afridi has already been done while Younis Khan will go through the fitness test soon after he reach Lahore.

Earlier today, head coach Waqar Younis called on PCB authorities to have discussion about training camp.

Ahmed Shehzad, Muhammad Hafeez, Misbah-ul-Haq (Captain), Younis Khan, Harris Sohail, Umar Akmal, Sohaib Maqsood, Sarfraz Ahmed (Wicket Keeper), Shahid Afridi, Muhammad Irfan, Junaid Khan, Wahab Riaz, Sohail Khan, Ehsan Adil, Yasir Shah.
