The model’s name was stricken off the ECL following orders of the Sindh High Court (SHC) orders. Earlier model Ayyan Ali’s counsel had filed an application in the court for removing her name from the ECL.

The SHC had asked federal interior secretary on Tuesday to implement the court’s order regarding removal of Ayyan Ali’s name from ECL.

Ayyan suffered Rs200mn losses since placed on ECL: lawyer

The orders had come following Ayyan’s petition against insertion of name in the ECL.

Her counsel told that court that the model has so far suffered Rs200 million losses as she was unable to travel abroad to finish her modeling assignments.

Ayyan was arrested at Islamabad’s Benazir Bhutto International Airport on March 14, 2015 on charges of currency smuggling after being caught with over half a million dollars by customs officials. She was accused of smuggling money from Pakistan to Dubai.

She was released from the jail after 122 days on bail.
