Tribal jirgah headed by Fazl meets PM Nawaz Sharif

ISLAMABAD: A jirgah of tribal elders headed by Jamiat Ulema Islam-Fazl (JUIF) chief, Maulana Fazlur Rahman met the Prime Minister Nawaz Sharif here on Tuesday and held discussion on the situation of North Waziristan Agency (NWA), ARY News reported.

According to details, tribal leaders exchanged their views on the ongoing Operation Zarb-e-Azb and the present situation of the agency, with the prime minister.

They informed PM Nawaz about the hardships faced by the internally displaced persons (IDPs) of North Waziristan, during their stay in IDP camps.

On this occasion, the prime minister said that the tribal people have rendered great sacrifices for the sake of peace in state and the entire Pakistani nation is proud of them.

He said that the government is taking measures for the rehabilitation of the IDPs and it will leave no stone unturned in this regard.
